Workforce Training

Greenville businesses seeking a well-trained workforce or looking for opportunities to provide additional training and education for existing employees have at their disposal a number of resources.

Paris Junior College - Greenville Center

  • Serves approximately 1,400 students with basic college-level courses, technical and occupational programs, and two-year associate degrees
  • Offers the opportunity for students to earn credits toward transfer to a four-year institution
  • Serves as the educational institution to administer and implement training programs for funds received through the Texas Skills Development Fund
  • Texas Skills Development Fund – a State of Texas program assisting community and technical colleges in financing customized job training for local businesses.  The fund provides training for specific skills for workers who will be hired by the business or for additional training for existing employees.
  • Greenville businesses can apply through PJC to the Texas Workforce Commission for funding. The application is a competitive process, but Greenville companies have been successful in securing training funds through this program.
